The FEMA appeals process can be complex to navigate, especially for those who have never done so before. SBP’s Disaster Assistance Program team guides homeowners through the FEMAappeals process and files the following appeal types on their behalf:

  • Home Repair/Replacement
  • Personal Property
  • Moving & Storage

Homeowners s who reach out or are referred to the Disaster Assistance Program are connected with an expert team that:

  • Helps identify the types of FEMA assistance which a survivor might be eligible.

From that point, FEMA will communicate directly with the homeowner about the appeal and any determination made. If additional appeals are required for that homeowner to reach their maximum eligible funding, SBP’s Disaster Assistance Program team will continue drafting, compiling, and filing appeals as needed.
